Privacy policy

BatchBoard is a production batching app for Shopify stores, operated by Brendan Campbell. Questions about this policy or your data: batchboard.support@gmail.com.
What BatchBoard reads from your store
When you install BatchBoard, you grant it two permissions:
- Read orders. BatchBoard reads your unfulfilled orders so it can group the items you still owe by material.
- Read products. Used only to read product and variant metafields, so BatchBoard can find where you record filament type.
From each order, BatchBoard reads only: the order number and date, and for each line item the product title, variant title, SKU, quantity, how many are still unfulfilled, the variant options chosen, and any line item properties such as engraving text.
What BatchBoard does not read
BatchBoard does not request or read customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing or shipping addresses, or payment information. It does not read your products' prices, your revenue, or anything about your customers as people.
What BatchBoard stores
- Your store's domain and the access token Shopify issues at installation, so it can read orders when you open the app.
- Your BatchBoard settings: default material, option names, SKU overrides and colour aliases.
- One production status per order line item (to print, printing or produced), identified by Shopify's internal line item reference.
Order contents themselves are not copied or retained. Every board you see is built fresh from Shopify at the moment you load the page.
Where it is stored
On servers operated by Fly.io in Toronto, Canada. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Who it is shared with
Nobody. BatchBoard does not sell, rent or share your data, and uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services.
How long it is kept
When you uninstall BatchBoard, its access to your store ends immediately. Shopify then sends a deletion notice 48 hours after uninstallation, and all data associated with your store (settings, item statuses and access tokens) is deleted.
You may request deletion at any time by emailing batchboard.support@gmail.com.
Customer data requests
Because BatchBoard stores no information that identifies your customers, there is nothing for it to disclose or erase in response to a customer data or deletion request. BatchBoard still receives and responds to these requests from Shopify as required.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with an updated date. If a change means BatchBoard starts collecting something new, you will be told before it takes effect.
